Romantic Wedding Venues in Surrey

There are few venues that can capture that romantic atmosphere which every bride craves on their wedding day. However, every bride pictures their day differently.
Do you see yourself stood in the driveway of a manor house or maybe hanging out with your guests in a professionally dressed traditional ballroom? There are many wedding venues in Surrey which boast some of the most scenic and picturesque landscaped in the UK. Sometimes it can feel like there are so many options that it is possible to lose your own vision.
Make sure that you don’t decide on your wedding venue in Surrey before going to see it in person first. While you are there speak with the staff there to see if your ideas can easily be translated to the space available in the venue. If you want to have large quantities of guests then it is important that all your friends and family can actually fit in your venue!  If you want particular settings to different events on your wedding day you should communicate with the staff at the venue first to ensure you don’t leave broken hearted or worse, crying on your wedding day. A good wedding venue will be realistic in what they can achieve and should communicate this to you without having to be prompted.
Alternatively, if you already have a wedding venue in mind that you have your heart set on, make sure that your plans don’t outgrow your venue. If your plans do change make sure to tell your wedding venue as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment!
Another important aspect that you must keep in mind when decided your wedding venue in Surrey is whether your wedding and reception will be held at the same venue or not. Even if your venue does have the space to hold your guests during a reception, make sure whether the venue can cater for a sit down meal or if they have a bar. Some venues are happy for you to supply your own catering or to work with an outside catering company, others are not. Be sure not to leave this important part of your wedding to the very end.
If the venue you have chosen for your wedding is unable to cope with hosting a reception then you should leave enough time to find a reception venue which is close by for your guests. If it is just that little bit further it could be a thought to provide transport for your guests to make the move easier for them and to avoid any lost guests!

If your wedding or reception venue is quite far from the home it could also be worth seeing which venues also provide their own accommodation or can suggest nearby accommodation for guests. Don’t be afraid to ask questions whilst looking around potential wedding venues in Surrey and, if you need to, ask to come back again before committing your wedding day to their venue!

No More Boring Weddings - Add Interest to Your Ceremony and Make it a Highlight

When you're invited to a wedding, what do you look forward to: the ceremony or the reception? It's okay to admit it--the best part of a wedding is usually what comes after the bride and groom say, "I do." But should it be that way?

This article outlines how you can give your ceremony a boost. It is the same service you get from Jules Amidy, Newcastle Marriage Celebrant.

A wedding is really about the promise to stay together forever and is a celebration of a couple's romance. Shouldn't the ceremony then be the part of the day that's the most memorable?

Clearly, this isn't the case with most weddings, but it doesn't have to be that way. Choosing the right marriage celebrant in Newcastle can help you ensure that your ceremony isn't something that guests have to suffer through. The best Newcastle wedding celebrant can make the ceremony something that your guests will never forget and will enjoy every minute of.

Imagine your guests laughing, wiping away tears of joy and sitting on the edge of their seats as they watch you exchange your vows rather than glancing at their watches and hoping the event will be over soon. That's just what you can get when you choose the right marriage celebrant in Newcastle.

Why does the wedding celebrant matter? Here are four things that the best celebrant can bring to your big day:

1. Presence - A great wedding celebrant in Newcastle can make even the most traditional of ceremonies lively with their presence. An upbeat, charismatic personality can pull guests in to the experience and make them feel a part of the big day. A celebrant with great presence can also make the day more meaningful for the two of you by reflecting your own passion and love with a heartfelt ceremony.

2. Originality - Part of the problem with wedding ceremonies is that they are largely the same. A skilled and experienced marriage celebrant in Newcastle will be able to adapt a traditional ceremony and customize it for you. This way, you can have a ceremony unlike anyone else's and have something that truly reflects who you are.

3. Professionalism - When you hire a skilled Newcastle wedding celebrant, you won't have to worry about mistakes and errors or the celebrant arriving unprepared. You can be certain that you'll be getting the best for your special day, and you will be more at ease and able to focus on your vows.

4. Experience - You never know what might happen during a wedding ceremony! An experienced Newcastle marriage celebrant will be ready for the unexpected and able to improvise and continue on if anything out of the ordinary will occur.

With more than 20 years of experience as a civil wedding celebrant in Newcastle, Jules Amidy will ensure that your ceremony is truly spectacular. She will work with you to help you create the perfect ceremony and would be honored to be a part of your special day. Jules is available for ceremonies anywhere in Australia. Contact her today to learn more about how she is putting an end to boring weddings!

Planning Your Wedding Cake

Of course, you can always serve more than one cake if you wish to add to the bounty. Some couples choose to have a groom's cake in addition to the wedding cake. Traditionally, a groom's cake is a dark, rich fruitcake or chocolate cake, which makes a nice contrast to a white wedding cake, but it can also just be the groom's favorite dessert.

Details and motifs from the wedding can influence the appearance of the cake. A cake for a San Francisco wedding, for instance, may borrow the pastel hues of the city's Victorian row houses. For a wedding on the beach, you could adorn the cake with seashells.

As for the flavor of the cake, often the layers are yellow or white cake, but there's no reason they can't be chocolate, lemon, carrot, or hazelnut, to name a few. You can also tailor the cake to the rest of the meal; for example, a Mediterranean-themed dinner might inspire an orange-flavored cake, while an Asian feast could end with a cake featuring ginger.

Since, ideally, you should order the cake six months before the wedding, it's best to start considering what you would like soon after you've chosen your reception site and the style of your wedding. Have you always wanted a pristine white cake? The ideas you find may help you come up with creative ways to incorporate your favorites so they fit your wedding.

When it comes to planning a for a utah wedding cake, few decisions are as delightful as choosing your wedding cake. Or you can forgo a single cake altogether and opt for a trio of smaller cakes or even cupcakes, doughnuts, or pastries displayed on tiered cake stands for an impressive effect.

A formal wedding generally calls for a structured, multitier cake; it can be elaborately or simply decorated, so long as its style implies something grand and ceremonial. White is the classic color for a wedding cake, but chocolate and tinted frostings can be just as elegant. Or you can forgo a single cake altogether and opt for a trio of smaller cakes or even cupcakes, doughnuts, or pastries displayed on tiered cake stands for an impressive effect.

If you 'd like the cake to be decorated with fresh flowers, the baker should be able to tell you what blooms are edible. (Your florist can also order them as well as arrange them on the cake, but many cake designers prefer to do this.).

Your caterer may be able to make the cake, or he or she can suggest a baker; newly married friends can also provide recommendations. Or if you have a favorite bakery, ask the staff if they have experience making wedding cakes. The right baker will be able to not only carry out your wishes, but tell you if your vision for your cake is realistic. http://www.weddingvideoinsaltlakecity.com

Why Photographers Love Pinterest

OK, who doesn't want to give love to Pinterest? For sure, professional photographers would love to give much love to this hot social networking site! Just look at the numbers about this site. From its humble beginnings in 2010, it has exploded like an atom bomb and shot itself all the way to number three in the social media rankings. Beating heavyweights like LinkedIn, Google Plus and Tumbler. There is plenty of love being shown for Pinterest. Of course, photographers will love Pinterest because of the way the whole caboodle is set-up.

The use of photographs is a complete departure from the traditional text-based social media that can become so frustrating and so lame over time.
What is Pinterest and why photographers should love it? Pinterest is basically a social scrapbooking site.

Pinterest is also known as a social discovery or a social bookmarking site. The social scrapbooking aspect of the site is the one that appeals the most for photographers. Photographers can use Pinterest as their online portfolio where people can take a peek at their previous works. Surely if people would be impressed by a photographer's performance it may lead to bookings.

To fully harness the power of Pinterest it is important that you know how it works. Once you know how to use Pinterest it would be easy to leverage its power to your advantage. Pinterest would allow you to create boards it is like a virtual corkboard only it can contain certain parts of your portfolio.

The next part is to categorize your boards. You can choose to have your boards placed under weddings, christenings, others and conferences. Basically, you would be placing your boards under the appropriate category so that it will appear organized.

Once a user clicks or likes your photograph it can link back to your website or blog, what makes Pinterest so exciting is the fact that. From there you can engage with a potential customer where you can send those quotes and your rates so that you can get their business. This has been working for businesses and even bloggers and certainly can work for you.

There is no clear data if backlinking is really good for service-oriented businesses like hiring a photographer for a wedding or an event. It would be a matter of time when people will troop to Pinterest to look at portfolio of photographers.

Another thing that photographers can get from Pinterest is inspiration. There are lots of photographs that you can see on the boards. A quick look at the photographs on the boards will give you some inspiration.

Using Pinterest can bring better business and inspiration to you as a photographer. As long as you respect others and pin responsibly you will be alright. The site is not much of a use in collecting your own pictures but a sampling which people can see so that they can ask for more. It is about sharing what you want the world to see right from your own lens.

Of course, photographers will love Pinterest because of the way the whole caboodle is set-up. What is Pinterest and why photographers should love it? Photographers can use Pinterest as their online portfolio where people can take a peek at their previous works. It would be a matter of time when people will troop to Pinterest to look at portfolio of photographers. Using Pinterest can bring better business and inspiration to you as a photographer.

Why you shouldn’t trust Uncle Bob to shoot your wedding

Let me make it clear that I don’t have anything against your Uncle Bob. I’m sure he’s a stand-up guy. I just think that there is a real danger in entrusting one of the most important tasks for your wedding day to a relative. Especially when he’s just a keen amateur photographer.

There seems to be an accepted view amongst many people that all you need to photograph a wedding successfully is a digital SLR and lots of enthusiasm. Nothing could be further from the truth. Let me ask you this- would you ask a friend who knows nothing about maintaining or fixing automobiles to repair your car, simply because he owns a tool box? It’s highly unlikely.  Well the same applies to wedding photography.

Shooting a wedding requires a lot of skill, expertise and experience. Not only do you need to understand how to handle and manipulate a whole range of lighting conditions, you also need to know how to direct group shots, pose couples and (most importantly) elicit emotional responses from people. It’s a difficult job that requires you to work to quite difficult time pressures. It’s not something that your buddy or relative can ‘have a go at’.

If I sound a little harsh here, I do apologise. It’s just that I feel passionately about this subject. I have heard too many stories of couples asking relatives to shoot their wedding in order to save money, only to then seriously regret their decision afterwards.

So what should you do if you are seriously restricted by your budget? Well I would suggest one of two things. Either ask an established wedding photographer if they could cut the number of hours coverage they provide you (in order to get a lower price) or alternatively find a talented but relatively inexperienced professional photographer to shoot your wedding. If you are creative, do your research and perhaps ‘jiggle’ your budget around I’m confident that you can find a way of balancing your wedding budget whilst still ensuring that you get a photographer that your wedding day deserves.

Wedding Photography - 5 Tips and Tricks for Stunning Photos

When it comes to matrimonial photos, there is very little room for error. Everyone wants high-quality pictures, and the pressure is always on photographers to capture a perfect setting that newlyweds will cherish forever.

5 Wedding Photography Tips and Tricks

Ask the Bride and Groom for Favorite Photos - Ask the bride and groom to give you a list of two or three must-have photos in advance. These could include an entire family portrait, cutting the cake, walking down the aisle, etc. You will naturally probably take these shots

Get Enough Lighting - Overexposure can instantly ruin a photo and not having enough light is equally harmful. Anyone can make photos look better by taking shots that have enough natural lighting. So, during any outdoor settings with the bride and groom, take advantage of natural light and your surroundings.

Capture the Smallest Details - There is some extensive planning that goes into a wedding. That includes down to the bouquet of flowers, special gift wrapping, the intricate details of the bride's gown, and more. You should capture close-ups of these items, too. They are an intricate part of the wedding, too.

Make Digital Edits - You can edit many of the photos that you make with your digital camera. You can make some good photos look great, and turn others you wanted to delete into shots that are worth saving. Of course, there is Photoshop and Lightroom, as well as other commercial editing programs that can accomplish this.

Reduce Wedding Photographer Costs - No one in their right mind is going to have a wedding without a professional photographer. However, some people might not have the money to pay for an all-day event. To reduce costs considerably, hire your wedding photographer for the ceremony and an hour before and after. This should get most of the photos that you need while at the same time cutting costs.

Wedding photography is a fine art. You must practice to get better at it. Also, if you better prepare, you will reduce stress and lower the chances of anything bad happening. Remember about Murphy's Law, "If something can go wrong, it will." If you prepare yourself, you will always have better results.

Why Choose Bespoke Wedding Stationery?

When you’re choosing your wedding stationery, you could opt to go for a generic design. But why would you do that when you can get something beautiful that has been tailor-made to your specifications. After all, many people keep their invitations as mementoes of the day, and they will be much more special if they reflect something of your personality and that of your partner. There are plenty of bespoke wedding stationers out there and many of them can offer surprisingly competitive prices.

So why should you choose to go down this route? Well, for one thing getting a person to design your stationery exactly the way you want it means it is entirely personal to you. Nobody else will have the same invitations you have had and that’s just one more thing to make your wedding day unique. All the colours, themes, materials and so on will match your requirements. If you choose mass-produced invitations then you will have to accept that this will not be the case. You may want something very ‘arty’, or you may want it to reflect your hobbies. You could also bear in mind here that if sustainability is very important to you, many high end stationers work with only eco-friendly materials.

It also means that you can choose to include photos of yourself or your partner – or indeed anything else that’s significant to you as a couple. If you want to, it gives you the chance to be quirky and create something really memorable for your guests. It can be worth spending a little more money for this. You also get a great choice as the images and invitations themselves can be pretty much any size you want them to be.

Also, bear in mind that if you use a bespoke wedding stationer for your invitations you will get a really professional lay-out – not something that looks like it could have been knocked up on a home computer. You should expect to be offered a few consultations so you can go through any ideas you have and come up with a concept that works. And the cost doesn’t have to be astronomical – a stationer like this will usually be able to work with most budgets and you don’t have to go for the most expensive materials.

If all of this has convinced you, the next thing to do is go about finding a good stationer. It’s worth taking your time finding just the right one. Begin by going around all the companies in your area and asking to see examples of their work. This will give you some idea of the kind of skills they have and the kinds of clients they normally work with. Also, if you already have any materials or design ideas in mind this will give you the chance to check if they can even provide that for you. Otherwise you will need to look elsewhere.

It’s also important to find out what kind of turnaround time they will offer you. Obviously you should be choosing your stationer well in advance anyway, but it may be that it still takes you a while to decide on just the right design. You need to be sure that they can still get the invitations out to you in time. Remember that this has to leave a window for people to RSVP so you can then get on with working out how many people to cater for and so on. It’s surprising how many people don’t ask this question and don’t leave themselves enough time. Be very clear about what your deadline is.

It is also wise, before you settle on a company to work with, to find out who their suppliers are. There are two reasons for this: the first is that there are less likely to be hold-ups because of late deliveries if they have solid, long-term suppliers relationships. The second is that if there are any last-minute changes to be made, it is more likely these can be done before the print run is started if there are good lines of communication open. Finally, don’t be afraid to haggle for discounts by pointing out that your orders is particularly large, that you can recommend them to other people or by suggesting you may go to another firm in the area.

Summary: To make their wedding day extra-special, many people go for bespoke invitations. This article looks at why you should consider finding a bespoke wedding stationer, and how to go about it.
